Year 1 Half term 3 - Week 4

 30/01/23 - Connections auditions.

Today was our second audition and I was partnered up with Connor who was trying out for older Zafer,  When we were given our partners we were told how much time we had to prepare. When we found out we weren’t auditioning first we went to the film room to work on how we wanted to perform the duologue, we spoke about the emotions we would like to show, anxiety, fear and confusion. When it came to our audition Kane said we were allowed scripts on us which was a relief as I couldn’t quite learn all the lines in time. I think the audition went really well and working with Connor was great he took on all my ideas and really made the audition as fun as it could be. 

 31/01/23 - Filming modern family scripts.

Today we filmed our modern family scripts. Me and A’layah had chosen the shop scene so Kane suggested we use the college cafe which we thought was a great idea, For this scene we asked Gracie, Alan and Jack to be extras for our scene. I loved filming this scene because it is so funny and it was so much fun to be able to recreate. 

01/02/23 - Getting connections cast list. talking with our younger/older selves.

THE CAST LIST!!!

Today we got the cast list and I got Young Stefi!

It’s not the role I auditioned for but it is the younger version so I’m really grateful I got a part in connections.

After this we paired up with our older or younger self, for me this was Milly S who got older Stefi and we started to speak about what we might want to do to show that we are the same person. 

02/02/23 - Radio plays, Cowboy one, learning accents.

Today we worked in theatre and were asked to get into pairs because we were going to learn how to do radio plays, I partnered up with Harvey today. I really enjoyed this lesson because we got to do the scenes in different accents. We did this because it meant we could learn them for future reference. The main goal of today was to talk like someone on a radio so we had to be loud and pronounce everything so if you were to be recording it you could fully understand yourself listening back to it. This lesson was really fun and it gave me a chance to work with someone I haven’t worked  with before.
