Character Break Down - STUFF.

NAME: Magda.

I think Magda is very happy with her name. Magda is usually a nickname for Magdalena. I think her name was passed down so she's actually very proud of it. The name is of polish origin.

AGE: 15

I think this play will be set now. This means she was born in 2008-9. This means that as Magda was starting secondary school COVID hit. I think this would've affected how she made friends and during the hard times of finally being able to go back to school she met this groups of friends which is why they're so close even though they are quite different.

PERSONALITY: Magda is a very open person, she says what she thinks and often when she speaks its to poke fun at the other characters. However she doesn't do this out of spite or to be mean to the other characters. I think of it as she doesn't have a filter and knows her friends won't take it to heart. 

FRIENDS/FAMILY: After doing a read through of the play I believe that Magda and Matt are close friends as she already knows about his situation when no one else knows. The whole group are quite. The only person I think Magda dislikes is AJ and she says that in the play as well, this is because he is mean to Matt so it makes sense that she would be protective. 

Although we don't meet Magda's family I believe she grew up in a good home as she is very confident and outgoing. This is because I feel like she would've been given support for whatever activity shes decided to try next. She's very willing to play everyone her song even though she knows its not very good so i think shes always been told to just keep trying. I also think Magda has at least 2 siblings because the way she comments on what people say makes me believe shes had a lot of sibling arguments.

PASSIONS: I think that whenever one friend believes in something really strongly everyone is happy to go along. What i mean by this is that if someone really liked a song and told Magda I feel like Magda would then go and listen to the whole singers album. The reason i think this is from the part where Dani takes out a pack of cigarettes Magda is very quick to say "were all anti-smoking" as she knows everyone will back up her up. 

DIGGING DEEPER - 

BIGGEST FEARS: The world changing. I think Magda's biggest fear is change. I think this would've become a thing because of COVID when everything would just change constantly and there was never a set rule so now she just wants everything to stay the same. I think she copes with this by making music. For example her song called - "Stuff" is a short song about how bad stuff happens but good stuff also happens so even though things change good stuff will still happens. 

WHO DO THEY LOOK UP TO: Artists, Musicians, creative people. - want to be like them, learn more. 

Her parents - I think Magda is a very family obligated person and would gladly be just like her mam or dad. 

STRENGTHS: Confidence, humour.

WEAKNESSES: No filter, bit mean.
