Year 1 Half Term 2 - Week 5

28/11/22 - Christmas carol  practice at the globe

Today we went to the globe to run through the performance to make sure it worked on the stage at the globe. this was really important because it showed us how much space we actually had for the performance meaning we could actually do it full out. This also meant Tom could see any mistakes that may have needed to be corrected. 

29/11/22 - Christmas carol performance - No 1

The first performance of A Christmas Carol!!!

The first performance was a little rocky but still so much fun to perform. Unfortunately as i was running to the other side of the stage i had bumped into another character, luckily i managed to keep my balance and didn't fall and me and that character played it off like that was supposed to happen but it did throw me off a little bit and took me a second to get back into the head space off the performance but once i had realised were we were in the performance i was able to get myself were i needed to be and carry on. 

30/11/22 - Christmas carol performance - No 2

Last performance of  A Christmas Carol!!!

This performance went so much smoother in my opinion because we knew exactly what we were doing as we did it the day before. No trips or bumping into anyone and no one forgot any lines. This made the last performance of this much more fun because there was no worrying about what could go wrong and we were just enjoying being on stage. 

01/12/22 - dress rehearsal for the Wizard of Oz

And were back to Oz.

Today we did our dress rehearsal for the show, making sure everyone had everything they would need before the show and if they didn't they had chance to get it sorted.

Our dress rehearsal was key to making sure the performance was ready because it really came to life when we could picture everyone in full character. It was also lots of fun to see as you don't get to see the finished product because your in it!

its great to see how your classmates are doing and seeing them perform.
