Year 1 Half term 2 - Week 1

 30/10/2022 - GLOBE PERFORMANCE, No 1 - Beatles fan

For our first day of globe performances I played as the beatles fan, this was my favourite character to play during this experience as I felt most comfortable and confident getting the character right. the first show we did was a little bumpy at first but as soon as we started to perform our section we fell into place and was able to perform to the best of our ability. This helped out with our second performance because we had already gone through it once and knew what to do. this meant that we could do it more smoothly. I enjoyed this performance because my character got to be frightened and had to scream so I meant I didn't have to hold back and I could just do what I felt the character would do. The only thing I would change about my character would be where we were spaced out to be as I don't think the audience could see my face very well which made the makeup unnoticeable and kind of ruined the effect.

31/10/2022 - GLOBE PERFORMANCE No 2 - one of the witches form Macbeth.

For our second day of globe performances I played as one of the three witches from Macbeth. I didn't feel as confident playing this character as it was very out of my comfort zone. I wore lots of ugly makeup which I know was part of the character but it did make me feel very out there. I think because of this I did end up getting stressed before our first performance and unfortunately forgot my second line, however I did realise and I was able to come back from it and get my part done. this did knock my confidence a little bit but my team mates who played the other witches reassured me that it sounded okay and that made me ready for the next performance and try again. I was much more confident for our second performance of the witches and I even got on stage and up close to the audience to freak them out which I was proud of as I was able to do something out of my comfort zone and do it correctly without forgetting any lines.

02/11/2022 - Whitby trip day 1 - "the favour"

During college we went to Whitby to film a short suspense movie. This was so much fun because we were put into groups and given full freedom in the hostile and around Whitby to film as long as we were safe. This was great because it meant we could go straight to filming and crack on with getting it finished. For the trip my group decided I would be a lost tourist who asks the main character which way to go but he is deaf so he cant actually hear what I'm saying. the key part of my character was to help the audience identify that the main character was deaf. On the first day at Whitby my characters scene wasn't actually filmed due to weather but I still helped with as much as I could while we were filming. keeping actors things safe during filming and helping carry things to other locations.

03/11/2022 - Whitby trip day 2 - filming my scene

On day 2 we filmed the rest of the scenes which meant my scene was being filmed. so straight after we all finished eating we went straight back to filming. although the weather still wasn't great the film makers we had tried to make the scenes look as good as they could of been. However that was slightly difficult at times as the lads in  our group did lose focus a couple of times and kept complaining about how cold it was. Because of this we did have to get Kane to come and watch us film because that meant everyone would be on there best behaviour. We got finished much quicker with Kane watching which also meant we could go to Whitby centre afterwards before we left which was nice as we all got to get to know the makeup crew and film crew better.
