Year 1 Half term 1 - Week 4

03/10/2022 - globe tour.

Today we went to the globe in Stockton. We were allowed to look around and have a tour of the space. This was good because we were able to see what trail we will be using for our Halloween performance. I particularly enjoyed this day because we were able to get out of college and really talk about bringing this project together. We were also able to talk to a group of men who knew a lot about the history of globe which gave us all loads of ideas for ghost stories we can bring to life. 

04/10/2022 - talking with makeup team and doing globe ideas 

In this lesson we carried on our talk about the globe but also with makeup. this was so we could know which characters would actually be able to be played and also let us get to know what ideas makeup wanted to do with the actors. the makeup artists I got to talk to were Millie and Phoebe.

After this we got a piece of and wrote down all of our ideas, what characters we could create, different makeup looks etc.

05/10/2022 - completing our lonely heart characters, talking with Josh about the globe 

In this lesson we finished with our lonely heart characters. Before we could do this we needed to go on our dates. Last lesson my character Maria got a date with Phil, so we went to a karaoke bar and Phil showed me his terrible singing, but he thought he was amazing. This was when I started to realise that unfortunately Phil was not for me as he was full of himself and only talked about his pet chickens. Because of this I decided the best thing for my character was to get out of the situation so Maria told Phil she was going to use the ladies room and didn't go back but Instead went to a ukulele lesson with Gregory.

After this we spoke to Josh (the person who is controlling our globe performance) and showed him all of the ideas we had wrote down on our papers and asked him if any of them would be possible. This was exciting because it meant Kelly could start writing out the script for the globe and meant auditions would be soon.

06/10/2022 - copy cat scene - dress rehearsal and assignment talk.

This lessons main focus was making sure we had everything ready for our copycat scene so we did a dress rehearsal. This was so we could change anything that didn't work before our filming day. For example my outfit didn't match my characters correctly so this dress rehearsal was a good idea because it gave me another week to find something more well suited. 

After our dress rehearsal we all sat down with Kelly and went over our first proper assignment, How to complete it, where to upload it etc.
